Of the 350 treatment centers in Minnesota, 140 programs are specific for adolescents – 2 are geared toward seniors. In addition, most people don’t realize that Medicare does not cover treatment for older adults unless it’s hospital-based, and residential treatment programs are costly.
At Silver Sobriety™ we are proud to offer scholarships to those who are unable to pay. Our proven model costs less and has high success rates, which means that your gift has a greater impact.
Support a senior with the gift of recovery! Consider giving:
• $4,500 provides up to a full year of recovery services for a senior
• $750 provides 1 month of recovery services
• $188 provides 1 week of recovery services

Current Opportunities

Accounting Support: Seeking a volunteer with online QuickBooks experience to provide accounting support for approximately 2-4 hours per month.

Board Treasurer: Seeking a volunteer with a background in finance, accounting or treasury to fill this officer position on our Board of Directors. This is a long-term commitment estimated at about 6 hours per month. Attendance is required at quarterly evening Board meetings and monthly Finance Committee meetings.

Fellowship & Outreach Events: Seeking an outgoing, friendly volunteer to represent our organization at local trade shows and fairs. This is an occasional need.

Phone Outreach: Seeking a volunteer who is comfortable making calls. In this role you will talk to professionals and other organizations who may be referral sources for Silver Sobriety. This is a short-term, immediate need. Calls can be made from your home. Basic computer skills are helpful and a script is provided.
