Meet The Founders

Rebuilding lives one senior at a time

In 2014, Peter Oesterreich and Win Miller had an idea. They recognized the lack of affordable and targeted recovery services for older adults and, together, were inspired to address this need.

Since 2016, Silver Sobriety has addressed the unique addiction needs of adults age 50 and older. Modeled after The Retreat in Wayzata, Minnesota, services are non-residential with a focus on education, recovery services and support in a group of peers. Our program is facilitated by a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) or other qualified leader who guides clients through a study of the 12-Steps Recovery Program and provides strategies to help seniors better handle other emotional challenges they face.

Our Guiding Principles

At Silver Sobriety, we provide older adults with affordable recovery services for alcohol and drug addiction.
